Cultural Space Analysis Paper

I visited China Town in Los Angeles with my friends over the weekend, and I was very excited about being in a different cultural space. I was curious to observe the ethnic culture of Chinese people, such as traditions, values, and behaviors. I wanted to find out how people from East Asian societies interact with one another. Attitudes toward speaking, and silence will relate to my examples, as well as nonverbal behaviors that were present in my interactions with the waitresses, such as eye contact, gestures, and personal space. Altogether I thought it might be a good place to find out more about the culture China.
As soon as we got there we decided to enjoy some traditional Chinese food for lunch. So one of my friends proposed that we would go to a splendid restaurant he had once been to, and loved the food and the comfort of the place. I was all for it because he said it had a Chinese specific interior design and I always wanted to chill in an environment like that. When we parked our car in front of the restaurant I started to complain and make fun of the place because it seemed so horrible from the outside. Even the environment of that area was so filthy that it made me feel disgusted while walking towards the front door. Contrary to my skepticism the place was pretty nice inside, not like what I have imagined, but it got me pretty much impressed. I loved the powerful red color in the carpets, curtains, and furniture. I noticed ornaments of dragons on the tables, different Chinese specific models sewed within carpets and curtains or craved into wooden doors. The thing that impressed me most and having it experienced for the first time was the type of service they were using. I didn't necessary like it, but at that time I saw it cool and exciting and enjoyed myself.
