Cyber-bullying

what is cyber-bullying?
The same rules apply online as in the ‘real world’ about how to treat other people. Unfortunately, people don’t always treat each other well online, and you, or a friend, may find that you are the target of cyber bullying. You might be teased or have rumors spread about you online, receive mean messages or even threats. It can happen in school, or outside of school, any hour of the day, from people you know, and sometimes people you don’t know. It can leave you feeling unsafe and alone.
What do you do if you are being cyber bullied?
If you are being cyber bullied the best thing for you to do is try to ignore what is being said. You can do this by blocking the person/people who are cyber bullying you. Another thing you could do is talk to someone, a parent, teacher, friend, etc. Keep the evidence. You never know when you might need it, it can be used to track the bully down.
Who does it affect?
Cyber bulling affects a lot of people, not only the victim, but the bully themselves. To be honest i think cyber bullying and bullying should be talked more about at schools, to try to prevent it from happening. Most people have no idea, what the victim is going through. The people that decide to bully other people don't know how badly it affects the victims, they may think it's all fun and games but once something happens and the victim can't take the hurtful words anymore, or the abuse, threats, may decide to take their own life. Then only does the bully realize it was the wrong thing to do. No-one has the right to bully another person.
