The Atomic Bomb Essay
The United States was in a war with Japan. This war killed innocent people and soldiers. There were over 14,000,000 soldiers dead, 4,000,000 civilians dead in the bombing of Hiroshima. In the bombing of Nagaski there was 80,000 killed. The reason why they chose this two cities were because it fit the critera and it was the two cities that had a military critera. These two citirs were unlikly to get bombed before the actuall bombing After the bomb there was more injures and killed because if the radation it left.. This war started on September 1, 1939 and ended September 2, 1945.
The United States wanted to stop this war so they warned Japan of the Atomic Bomb they had. Japan did not call the war off so the United States attacked them with the bomb Little Boy. On August 6, 1945, the bomb hit the city of Hiroshima. On August 9, 1945 the U.S bombed the city of Nagasaki with the bomb called The Big Man. This had a big impacted on Japan. So this made Japan surrender to the Allies on August 15 and signed the instrument of surrender on September 2.
I think that if we would have never bombed Japan we would never know when the war would stop, but it would have been better then having millions dead.. If we would continue with the war we would have more dead then had but there wouldnt be as many innocent people dead. In my opinion it was a bad idea to bomb them because this completly wiped out the two cities of Japan.People would agree that it was a bad idea because it killed many people also it left lots of radation and it hurt many innocent people. Some of these people had no idea what was going to happen to them. I think that if we hadn’t done this then there would have been more people killed and they would have never known when it was enough.
Yes, if we would have bombed then it would have stopped the war but it would end up killing more and more people. There would have been more dead then they already had. Also they had warned them before...
