Dakota’s Story
Once there was a lovely young woman named Dakota Moss who had a beautiful
family and husband named Jake Moss. They were blessed with money from the start,
which they were grateful for and thanked God for everyday. They were all so happy and
their lives were so great, when all of a sudden one day Dakota’s life came crumbling
around her. She was at work when someone came to tell her that her husband and kids
were killed in a car wreck. When she heard this news she did not believe it at first, she
just sat there with a blank stare on her face. Then she started weeping uncontrollably. She
went home to an empty house, full of sorrow and memories of her happy past. It was too
overwhelming for her; all she could do was fall on her knees and sob. But she did not
curse God, not once. She praised him still. Even through all her hardship, she was still
able to thank him for everything good that had happened to her in the past. She continued
on until she lost her job. That was when she started falling apart. She was having
problems with depression and anger. She would just stay at home all day and cry. She did
not understand why God would do this to her when she was so faithful to him and so
good. Her friends came to visit her on a daily basis, to comfort her, but they just made
matters worse. They kept asking what she could have done so wrong to deserve such a
punishment, and accusing her of behaving sinfully. Naturally, she reproached her friends to defend herself. Finally, God came to her in a dream to tell her it was a big test and that
he was so proud of her for not cursing him. After that she lived a long, fulfilling life, she
got remarried and had several more kids. She was happy again. Her friends on the other
hand… their ending was not so happily ever after.
