desdemona

A Short Synopsis/ Consideration of Audience
In the actual play “Othello” the stories theme was jealousy. Lago a white male with much
credibility had betrayed his best friend Othello a black male who also had much credibility from
the war as a “war hero” but was also a lower class of citizens due to the racial segregation that
was present at the time. Lago had betrayed Othello by telling Othello a false rumor of his
mistress cheating on him. Raged with anger and sadness Othello does the only thing he could
think to do and that’s kills his wife Desdemona. But I am thinking that we switch it up a little!
Othello will still be the good guy as well as the protagonists in the story but Othello will be
NCAA college football star as well as the number one overall draft player, and Lago will be
secretly envious friend who is also a NCAA college football player but does not get much
playing time due to being the backup quarter back of the college phenomenon Othello “The
Warrior” Johnson! Desdemona will be portrayed as a young beautiful woman aspiring to be a
major in Psychology and is a straight “A” student as well as the lover of young Othello. But the
conflict that takes place is that Othello’s mother is very disturbed about the love between
Desdemona and Othello. They are in love but Othello’s mother shows no pity to the love they
share due to the fact that Desdemona is “White” and not the same skin color as Othello. Even
though there are a bunch of twist and turns in my play the best part of the play in my opinion is
climatic scene of the play where Othello has finally fulfilled his dream of being drafted to the
NFL where he can play professional football. Yago becomes so filled with anger but he sits at
the furthest table from the stage patiently waiting as if he his happy for Othello. Othello begins to

tell his thankful speech and right before he finishes “BANG BANG BANG”! Lago stands up and
removes his arm from his jacket and shoots...
