Detecting Plagiarism

I received the report on “Lab Courses Go Virtual” from the plagiarism checker and I was shocked to find that 100% of the paper was plagiarized from its original source.
As an instructor we use much of the same tools available to you to check for plagiarism violations. In order to avoid using someone else’s hard earned words without credit. It looks to me that you thought that you would be able to submit this paper without the slightest of circumstances.
My conclusion has come from the fact that this entire paper was stolen from its source and passed on as an original. The reason this paper is stolen is because you used the entire paper as your own, without reference to the author or source in which it was originated. If you had used references to the authors name; the source, location in which you found the paper. Even this would be partially accepted. You need to rewrite the paper in you own words.
Now my course of action in regards to this blatant use of unauthorized material will be as such. Since you have never done this before and I can only assume you were to busy or rushed to write the paper yourself. You now have 48hrs to turn in an original work on the same topic. Your grade will be no greater than a “C” on the final project you turn in. If you do not turn in this assignment I will have no other choice but to fail you in this class and report you to the dean. These terms are non-negotiable. Consider this your warning
