LADY MACBETH/MACBETH

In the play Macbeth by William Shakespeare, the characters Lady Macbeth and Macbeth are very similar in their own ways but also very different in their own ways. Both, Lady Macbeth and Macbeth are very similar in the way that they both want power over Scotland, both want everything to be controlled by them, and they will get through anything just to get what they want. Never will they let something get in between. Lady Macbeth and Macbeth are very different because in the beginning of the book Lady Macbeth is very mean; she’s feisty, and very demanding. If things aren’t done her way she will become like the devil. However, Macbeth is a very sweet guy, loyal, soft touch, and a very trusted/respected guy to the people of Scotland. Their characteristic start changing as the story begins to make known.
DIFFERENCES
In the beginning of the play, Macbeth was told by three witches that he had to become thane of chowder and king of Scotland. The difference is that Lady Macbeth is like the man in the relationship because in (Act one Scene 3) Ross and Angus appear, after they introduce Macbeth to his new title, he decides to write a letter to his wife to tell her about the three witches prophecies and his new title. As soon as Lady Macbeth finds out that Macbeth will become king of Scotland Lady Macbeth decides that the only way he will become king is if he killed king Duncan. However, Macbeth is a saint and would never dare to do such thing. “But I am worried about your character; it is too full of the milk of human kindness to take the quickest way. You want to be great; but you lack the necessary wickedness.” (49, letter to Lady Macbeth from Macbeth.) Macbeth is stating that Lady Macbeth wants to get to things the wrong way as soon as possible, and that’s not the right way to make things happen.
