What made up of our world today? Do you know that we belonged to the Postindustrial Society? We humans have gone through different types of eras; era by eras that distinguished from each other. We improved and progressed because of communication and interaction between humans. In my research, I found out that different types of communication are employed in our conversation daily. Social interaction involves both verbal and nonverbal communication. Verbal communication consists of written and spoken language. For example, you are emailing to your friend. Nonverbal communication means sending and receiving messages in a variety of ways without the use of words. A friend hugs you is an example of nonverbal communication. In this context, I will be focusing on the different forms of nonverbal communication. This article is trying to tell us the benefits of nonverbal communication in our daily conversation. There are times that words cannot be employed to express one’s feelings. Joy, happiness, sadness, angriness, disappointed can be conveyed through this medium. It is proven to be effective and has stood the test of time. Earlier on, I have mentioned that facial expressions appear to be recognized in all cultures. We can easily identify a person’s feelings through nonverbal communication. A person’s sadness or happiness can be written in his face. If a person is happy, you can see sparkles and excitement in his eyes. If a person is feeling down or sad, you will probably see red and swollen eyes, and he won’t talk much. Besides that, the hearing impaired people are not lost out in terms of every aspect of life. They can still understand and react to another person using sign language. It is possible for them to keep up with normal people like us. This experience not only enriches them but enriches us as well in terms of understanding each other, and knowledge to share. Although there are a lot of benefits in nonverbal communication, it also has some weaknesses....
