jkdasThere is probably no family in this world that never experienced disagreements between parents. Even one small quarrel between them, inspires anxiety in children’s soul. But immeasurably more dramatic will be consequences for children if their parents will not manage to restore harmony of family relations. And if the conflict will become very serious, children will be the one that will suffer the most. The quantity of children, annually losing families because of divorce, makes a significant number. More than half of such children are less than six years old. This means that the divorce is highly reflected on their personality developing. For example, researches show that most of the teenagers linked to criminality are from the unsuccessful or broken families. Divorce is a very hard stage in any persons life and could lead to tragic consequences in the future.
Divorce has a remarkable effect on children. Children are influenced by it depending on their age, gender and development stage. But regardless of any characteristics of a child, divorce will be powerfully stressing experience for everyone. Kids whose parents divorced are tending to have their own set of problems. Those problems are most of the time reflected in their social as well as behavioral part of their lives. One of the characteristics that are developing in children’s personality throughout divorce is anger and they have a deal to be angry about. Children experience anger as a reply to hurt, frustration, and supposed rejection. They don’t understand why their parents divorced and why other kids have two parents at home while they have one. Another characteristics of a child that experience the divorce of the parents are anxiety and fear. The fear of changes, judgment, guilt, and embarrassment must be one of the most common problems in the development of a child’s personality. It can affect the self-esteem of a child and make him anti-social as well as unconfident in people surrounding...
