What is capital punishment? Many people asked why our reality should have capital punishment? Basically capital punishment meaning is the death penalty which is also a legal process whereby a person is put to death and the punishment for the crime while the actual enforcement is an execution. In nowadays, capital punishment has been practiced by most societies, as a punishment for criminals, and political or religious dissidents. As a nationality, we should pay close attention to our country because it may be harmful for others if we are not talk about this capital punishment to others. “Capital Punishment” can be decided which is wrong or right in our human behavior.
History of Capital Punishment
Capital punishment, often referred to as the death penalty, has been used as a method of crime deterrence since the earliest societies. Historical records show that even the most ancient primitive tribes utilized methods of punishing wrongdoers, including taking their lives, to pay for the crimes they committed. Murder most often warrants this ultimate form of punishment. “A life for a life” has been one of the most basic concepts for dealing with crime since the start of recorded history.
Moral Status of Capital Punishment
Capital punishment or death penalty is the most severe punishment in the Law. It is established on the basis of morality. Today, there are still many countries execute capital punishment. The relationship between capital punishment and morality cannot be simply summarized. As we know, life is always one of the most typical natural rights. It can't be deprived, and should not give up. In other words, life is equivalent. When you deprive the lives of others, you should pay a life of their own.
