Did you know that donating blood saves thousands of lives per year? Studies shown by the American Red Cross, state that just a pint of your blood will save 3 lives, Yes just by taking 45 minutes out of your daily routine you can save three individuals lives. Donating won’t cost you a penny, it’s easy and fast and the great thing about it is that once you get out you’ll be proud to say “I just saved three lives”, plus it’s good for your health. So go out there and donate some blood!
Donating blood is the easiest, fastest contributing activity there is plus it doesn’t cost anything at all. From the start of the process till the end it’s about 45 minutes. It’s like going to the doctors for a checkup you fill out your regular health history and you’re ready to go. Once your done with that all you will need to really do is lay down and let the nurse do her job, this is pretty easy don’t you think? Well I think right the nurse then takes a pint of your blood (you have about 8 pints of blood so one pint wont harm you at all) and you get some cookies and juice. That’s it, that’s all you need to do! Don’t be scared if it’s your first time studies have shown that 38% are first time donors (American Red Cross) take your wife or go with your mom I’m sure that if it means saving some innocent little child out there they will be glad to accompany you and hold your had if you wish. Just remember that the process is fast and that in the end you will feel great about yourself.
Which brings me to my next point, Are you aware that 38,000 blood donations are needed per day? That every 2 seconds someone from the U.S needs blood. That more than one million new people are diagnosed with Cancer each year and most of them are in the need of blood daily or during their chemotherapy treatment. How do you feel about that?
