Dozer

Dozer

It was a cold December afternoon as I started the short walk to my neighbours house. My dogs were playing in the snow but stopped as they realized I was leaving. I checked that they weren't following me across the invisible fence line. I got about half way across when I heard yelping. I spun around as fast as I could in a snowsuit and boots to see that Jesse followed closely by dozer were running towards the road. "Meem! Come quick.!" I screamed towards the house. I bolted after them running slower than usual in the snow. "Dozer! Jesse! Stay!" I tried grabbing them when they were peeing but they were too fast. My sister arrived with treats to try and get them back. Nothing was working and we could no longer see them. But luckily there was footprints in the snow we could follow. We kept getting close to them but they would just take off with no warning. They stopped on a corner and we thought we could get them. A car was approaching, before my sister and I knew what was happening Dozer ran out onto the icy road.
"Dozer! Come!" I vociferated.
I heard a screech and a yelp. Then Dozer hobbled out from in front of the car. He was scared and crying. He tried to walk on his now broken leg but fell. His front right leg was badly injured, I could see the bone which was broken and his ligments were gone. His left front leg was scraped pretty bad and his back leg was scraped as well but worse, I could see the bone.
My mothers friend lived right by where this happened. Her and her son saw everything that happened and ran over to help. They offered to let me use their phone to call my mum.
"M-m-m mum. Dozer. He got hit. You need to come soon." I couldnt finish so Stephenie took over and told my mum what happened.
I walked back outside to see that my sister was holding Dozer still to stop him injuring his leg more. I grabbed Jesse. I noticed that the guy who hit Dozer was the guy who always served us at the Lobster Pound. He was really shaken up and worried about...
