Abstract
The retention rate of students is important for any university or college. The retention of students can be increase if students are provided with on campus housing. As members of the university community, the department of housing and the administrators on the NCCU campus has an obligation to provide on campus housing that is affordable to ensure that the retention and graduation rate increase on the college campus. The housing department needs to make sure that on campus housing is at the forefront to ensure that the longevity of the university retention rate is at the core of the institution goal and vision. On campus housing is essential for ensuring that students have access to different academic resources on the college campus.
