Thesis Statement –
Participating in an educational play can be enjoyable because it provides learning opportunities, gives people a chance to be creative and teach.

Schools have several educational activities that can be enjoyable. Among these would be participating in an educational play. A prime example would be Shakespeare, reading his work can be rough, but watching one of his plays can provide a whole new look into his writing. Participating in an educational play can be enjoyable because it provides learning opportunities, gives people a chance to be creative and people will have an opportunity to teach.
First an educational play can provide learning opportunities. One will learn from an educational play by observing others. The instructor will give a lot of examples, and will help guide the play in the correct direction. In addition to the instructor, a great way to learn is to watch other participants while they rehearse their parts. Another way to learn from an educational play is from the material. To learn about the characters or the story that will be played, one must read to script that is provided. Also completing research on the story line, and the characters, someone can learn a great deal.
Second, an educational play can give people a chance to be creative. For example, the set must be created from scratch. Participants must build the set from the floor up, knowing the correct walls and flooring to use, including the necessary props. The participants must be as creative as possible to illustrate the creative vision to the audience. On the contrary, the
opportunity to be creative with their characters is reduced. Unlike the same way the set is created, the characters have already been created; the participants may have some creative touches. However, the story line must remain true there for there is a limit as to how creative one can be with their character.
