The key to an effective operation of a business is proper management and preventative measures to limit the organizations tort liability. Tort liability and risk management has to be dealt with-in the day to day business of many organizations. Despite the grumbling of some managers at Interclean, every organization must determine for itself how effectively and efficiently it is achieving its mission.
As managers at Interclean, it is important to be knowledgeable of these five activities to the pending merger, staffing, retention, development, adjustment, and managing change. Staffing is vital to the merger, as managers it is important to analyze current and future workers to present to human resource management (HRM) their competency to move forward in a beneficial way to the organization.
Managers should be held accountable for providing fair treatment of employees, open communication of relevant information to individuals. Presently at Interclean, managers and employees are basing information on water cooler discussions. This behavior results in low employee morale and decrease productivity. It is imperative, for the executive management and managers communicate effectively to employees eliminating all water cooler discussions to productive meetings with a strategic and implementation plan of the new acquisition.
Managers must work closely with HRM to reengineer and redesign the new business process to achieve successful results in cost, quality, and competency. According to chapter one of Human Resources, the competitive business environment of the 21st century reflects factors such an aging and changing workforce in a high-tech workplace that demands and rewards ever-increasing skill and increasing global competition in every sector of the economy.
