Within the recent years, technology has changed the world we now live in. I feel that cell phones and other technology such a Blackberries and Personal Digital Assistants (PDA’s) have played the most significant role in effecting our personal and business lives. If you notice everyone has a cell phone these days. This means constant communication, which leads to extended working hours. Not only do you have constant communication, but you can also access the Internet at the drop of a dime. With Blackberries and PDA’s you can work from any location.

It has changed business in many positive ways. A customer can always get in touch with a company to ask questions and offer advice. With the faster speed within the business world today versus the past, there are more opportunities for the consumer because of a more communicative working relationship.

The market for cell phones is huge right now. It has one of the largest business sectors in North America. This leads to a billion dollar consumer spending and technological investment every year. You can talk to some one on the other side of the globe from anywhere. No matter where you are you can always still obtain your email and surf the Internet. People start to have connections with someone that is across the world and can increase opportunities for everyone involved. This is a huge technological difference from years ago. Another way that cell phone device technology has changed our world is in regards to public safety. People who are in danger or who have witnessed a crime or accident can call for help and actually save lives.
