Nurse anesthetist sounds like a combination of nurse and physician, since my early ages science always been so fascinating, we are like the perfect machine made of flesh its ridiculous the amount of components that the human contains. Also I chose a specialty in anesthesia because the job requires a high precise individual who can handle the pressure of the thinnest line between life and death, where a single extra drop of the right medication could end the life of other human being.
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists are advance practice nurses that work in every type of surgical procedure providing care of patients in collaboration with anesthesiologist. The emergency room is one of the most common work place, thousands of people with a highest level possible of suffering attend the ER, every year with no exceptions just the right place for a nurse anesthetist help others with their pain, waiting with hope the awakening of their patients who probably wont see the light again.
CRNA´s require lots of education however the knowledge of book might be not enough to prepare a person in the most stressful situations where another person’s life is involved. Becoming a CRNA mainly include having a bachelor's degree in nursing, Registered Nurse licensure, a minimum of one year acute care experience (for example, ICU or ER), and the successful completion of both an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program and the national certification examination.
The job requires a person who can remain calm even when the odds are against him; also precision makes the difference between the right dose, overdose and the wide knowledge of drugs, their effects and contraindications.
The salary is in the top of the nursing specialties because of the tremendous amount of stress involved and the responsibilities. CNRA´S make between $150,000 to 250,000 a year almost compared the physicians...
