Analysis of Team Charter
Creating an excellent team is a must for a goal-oriented organization, as it helps create an effective and high-performance work environment for team members. A team is a group of people working toward a common purpose. An effective team is instrumental in any organization’s success because it performs many complex tasks associated with many interdependent subtasks. A team charter is a document prepared by team members, containing member’s contacts, strengths, weaknesses, hobbies, goals, and ground rules for team governance. Each member needs to agree on the content of the charter so everybody can operate based on common team charter guidelines. Team charter is the first stepping stone in knowing and understanding team members professionally and personally.
My team consists of five members; Bhaskar Bhaumik, Christopher Langehaug, Christopher Shelby, Daniel Greenfield, and myself. Though my team members come from different professional and educational backgrounds, my team has a common goal of achieving success in team project assignments. As per mandatory requirement of this paper, I have provided the personality assessment survey (Prentice Halls, 2007) results of team members and will explain how these results along with charter can help improve team performance. The assessment survey results is available in Table one.
