Pink Bloomers (PBC), an equal opportunity employer, and makes every effort possible to follow all federal guidelines in terms of employment and worker protection laws. Our policy is strict adheres to all labor, safety and employment laws. It is PBCs belief that following that law is not only ethical, but ultimately following the law will lead PBC to fewer lawsuits and thus a more profitable organization. At PBC all employment is at-will and this is stated clearly to each potential and future employee. PBC manufactures industrial steel equipment and, as such, we take great pride in following all safety procedures. Our company’s motto is “Safety…to avoid a lawsuit.” We consult with Occupational Safety and Heath Administration (OSHA) inspectors on how we can better provide a safe working environment to our employees. OSHAs numerous policies and compliances standards on safety in manufacturing plant are strictly enforced. OSHA notices are posted everywhere in our plant and it is mandatory that employees are trained on safety standards at all time. Any violation of safety procedures by employees are grounds for immediate termination. Other federal statues that we adhere to are: Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA).

In accordance with Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) a federal act enacted to protect workers by prohibiting child labor and establishing a minimum wages, PBC 1) does not hire any worker less than twenty-one years of age; 2) PBC pays workers a livable wage, most workers make $10 per hr; and 3) PBC has a no overtime policy. Workers found to be violating our 40-hr work week are subject to termination. Families are important to PBC and that why we take pride in our family and medical leave practices.
