I feel that conserving energy is very important. The world that we live in may collapse around us. Everyone is use to driving there SUV’s around and not even thinking about what could happen when global warming really happens. The pollution is one thing but using energy sources at the rate that the United States does, we are asking for trouble. This world is not going to be able to power us all forever. I wonder how many people actually think about that.
Renewable energy is energy that can be found from natural sources. Solar energy is an example as well as wind energy used all over the world. This energy produce little to no waste that can harm the environment and cars that can use some of the renewable energy as fuel are more likely to succeed with the rising gas prices and the harmful emissions. Non-renewable energy is energy that can be found all over the world but is not in great abundance. This energy usually always harms the environment when burned or used. Non-renewable energy is being consumed at a very quick rate and soon we will be forced to use non-renewable energy.
Some methods that would help conserve energy in your home and around the neighborhood can be found anywhere. The internet is something that I am fond of because there is an abundance of information. Some quick methods are not using heaters and air conditioners all the time. Go sparingly on the heat and air conditioning. You will see a lower power bill and not pollute as much. Little things like this can help. If everyone chipped in with saving energy and try to use renewable energies we would have a healthier environment for our children and our grandchildren.
The government should be involved in this global problem. The government has the resources and power to stop the use of non-renewable energies. I believe that it’s all about the money.
