Literary Scrapbook for course Project

English Literature

I’m always very excited to try new things. I think ahead of time what it will be like. How different it will be and how challenging as well. I am not a very big fan of reading and I am certainly not a big fan of writing. Right away I knew Literature would be a lot of reading. I figured this is something new I might like it why not give it a shot.
My goal is to comprehend what I am reading. I sometimes get confused by the way something is written and the wording that is used in it. I have to read things over and over again and go back to it in order to write about it. Maybe that’s my way of doing things. I’m sure it’s pretty hard to memorize something after just reading it one time. I just feel so clueless when it comes to poem or an essay. I am confident that after English Literature I will feel much more enlightened about my reading and writing.
I wonder if not as overwhelming as I find it to be. I think I am over reacting. I hope I learn everything I possibly can out of this course. I think it can teach me so many different things as every other course has.
The study of English Literature is absolutely still important. There is still so much to learn. There are so many things that have happened way before our time that we should be aware of. Just so that we can be grateful for what we have and appreciate the life we live. We should all know about our history and years from now when our children and grandchildren are older this will be their history.
My Journey in English Literature will be exactly that a Journey and a challenging one at that but not one I am not willing to compete with. I am excited to learn about new things.
