1. EXT. ENGLAND COUNTRY LAKE – EVENING

A wide shot shows James slowly walk down the jetty surrounded by fog, and sitting down next to Lucy while putting his arm around her in attempt to keep her warm. A head shot shows Lucy looking into the water while James looks at her reflection.

JAMES
Everyone is worried about you.

LUCY
Tell them not to be.

JAMES
I’m worried about you, Lucy.

LUCY
Well, you shouldn’t be.

JAMES
You’re out every night; sometimes i don’t see you for days on end. You come home barefoot carrying your heels, your makeup is down to your chin, you smell like cigarettes and all sorts of alcohol and your wearing the same dress you wore to the party the night before. This isn’t who you are.

LUCY
How the hell do you know who i am?
JAMES
I know that you’re my Girlfriend and my best friend. Well... at least that’s what i thought you were.

The camera zooms out to show the full jetty. Lucy shrugs out of James’s arm, stands up and walks down the jetty making large thumping noises as her feet stomp on the wood. James stands up and watches her walk away. The camera zooms into a head shot of Lucy to show tears running down her cheeks.

2. INT. LUCY’S BEDROOM – EVENING

The camera pans upwards so we can see Lucy pressing her ear against her bedroom door listening to her Mum and James whisper.

JAMES
I’ve tried everything I can, but it’s clear she doesn’t want my help. Let her know that i love her and i’ll be waiting for her call.

JANIE
No, she needs to see someone! This is crazy; she has no idea what she’s doing with her life. She’s screwing everything up and all because she can’t get over herself-

3. INT. THE KITCHEN – TWILIGHT

The camera then changes to a wide shot of the kitchen, making the corridor visible to the audience. Lucy walks from the corridor to the kitchen.

LUCY
How would you know why i do what i do?! My parent’s recently divorced, my siblings are...
