Yesterday, a friend came and complained about his toilsome life. Apparently, most acquaintance experiences the same whilst living in Hong Kong. At that same time, I think of a quotation “We are so busy making a living that we forget to make a life.” By A.P. Gouthey. With Hong Kong as one of Asia’s hardest-working places, a new survey points out that the city is sorely in need of better work-life balance, indicating that people hustle to make enough money to support their families. So, what made this? (1) Last year, UBS reported that Hong Kong workers had been working with an average of 2,296 hours at office-The fifth longest number of hours among all 72 cities surveyed, enhancing that the long working hour is a thoughtful issue. Generally, most Hong Kong people are materialistic as they will regard that a rewarding career will lead to a high salary pay and they will perform vigrously to secure their position.
I agree with Mr.Gouthey and like to give suggestions on achieving a balanced life.
Doubtless, we have to earn money for supporting of daily expenditure, but if we work too much, it will make us zonked out and feel stressful. So, we should think about some entertainments, and a proper leisure activity can help us to release stress. Sometimes, we can go swimming with a beautiful breach nearby, playing basketball with friends at an open ground or reading books at a decorated cafe. Stress relief through exercise comes about as a result of the release of endorphins, which are chemicals that are immersed into our body and promote a well feeling. Also, we can gain knowledge through reading and become intellectual in academic and social manner.
Secondly, everyone have a dream that some goals they want to achieve and satisfy themselves. Therefore, self-satisfied activity can lead us to be happy, and it can be called Spirituality.
