Reflection # 3 (Why do I admire the character)
I admire Raven Baxter because we have a lot of similar characteristics. She is fashionable, she loves to sing and dance. When I used to watch that’s so raven I felt like her. She was very funny and knew how to make you feel like you weren’t the only one who was different. Watching that’s so raven was a comfort to me. The show portrayed everyday teenage scenarios. From dating to friendship to little brothers and family issues. In one particular episode she thought the dress she created she would be able to model it, but instead the director changed the rules on her and told her instead a smaller girl would model her dress. In this episode raven took it upon herself and created an identical dress and when the smaller model went on the runway she also snuck on the runway.
Raven has taught me and many other girls to love you no matter what. Just because someone says you don’t have their look it is not the only look. In another episode Raven and her best friend Chelsea get into argument over a boy. The eventually have a battle over who will date the boy first. While they are fighting the host from the show decides to ask them questions about each other, while he does that he takes all the good comments they say about each other and he fills them with negative comments. Toward the end of the show the two girls realize that you should never let and boys come between their friendships.
