The first factor is biological cause. It was found that there was a chromosomal abnormality in killer’s body. There was a sex chromosome labeled XYY, where the normal sex chromosome is XY for men. The extra Y chromosome is associated with anti-social behavior and psychopathic personality. This factor makes the impossibility to cure the one who has XYY chromosome. It is impossible to take one’s chromosome because chromosome is placed in all cells.
The other biological cause is if there is an abnormality of red blood cells called kryptopyrrole. Then if one’s red blood cell is kryptopyrolle, then he may not be able to tolerate stress and control himself. Most of the serial killer that had been caught had high level of kryptopyrrole in their bodies. This also cannot be cured because red blood cell cannot be removed if most of it is abnormal. People will be lack of blood.
The last biological cause is brain injury. Damage to areas like the frontal lobe and the hypothalamus can contribute to extreme aggression, violence and loss of control. This damage can be gotten from abuse or accident. Brain injury also cannot be cured because there is no neurolemma in brain, part of the nerve system that is used to fix injured part.
The second factor is psychological cause. It was found that killers had experienced trauma twice as many as non-killer. This trauma including suffering difficult births, serious operations and illnesses, major accidents, physical beatings and being subject of very strict discipline and uncaring mother. Psychological factor cannot be cured as well because it is a mysterious behavioral disorder where history is buried deep in someone’s mind. Violence has been planted in their unconscious minds. No matter how their conscious minds are tried to be recovered, the unconscious minds will still control them, when they are in certain situation. Therapy can only calm them down, but not cure them.
