Ethics and values are only as good as the director of the opera. My values are consistent with what Williams Institute Ethics Awareness Inventory self-assessment reflected. Life outweighs any amount of money. Corporations normally base decisions upon cost analysis, whereas I would base my decisions upon the good of many instead of just one.
My personal values align with Kudler Fine Foods that we both put customer service above all else. Even though Ms. Kudler cannot pay average wage, Kathy does try to add other benefits for working at her stores. Kathy would only sale the finest products that can be found. Kudler Fine Foods helps the community by donating food items to the local charities.
I have a hard time with compromise of any sort in ethical situations; I would choose my family over others if a choice were to be made. It would matter not what the issue was, always family. There are times when one must think of oneself but never at the expense of someone or something else. As long as I do what I perceive to be right, then I will not have any ‘what if’ thoughts.
Each person has unique viewpoints that encourage reasoning, understanding, and communication to achieve culture acceptance. Without different cultures our food would be boring, speech, and clothes would be the same. The whole world would be nothing exciting because there would be nothing to learn, or to see that would be different. No excitement, no emotion, just the same spread out in all directions.
I gravitate to the unusual; I think that is where I will have the best experiences. The colors of cultures, the textures, and smells make all senses to come alive with anticipation to the novelty of what is surrounding me.
