To whom it may concern.

I’m writing this letter to inform you of an escalating situation New York. I live on the third floor and in the past few months the changes in the people coming in and out of the building from apartment four are amazing. The neighborhood drug dealers and in and out. Arguing between the four constant faces seen up stairs. There has been as many as 5 people living upstairs at a time. Over the past few weeks the traffic has increased different faces coming in and out all times of the night. There is always someone upstairs and the constant movement and loud walking across the floor is unbearable. I have lost sleep because of the situation my daughter and I have been woken up out our sleep to screaming yelling and loud furniture being moved. People running up and down the stairs. I’ve addressed the situation, speaking to the tenants, the landlord, even calling the police. A few weeks ago my tires were slashed after making a complaint to the landlord after a known drug dealer informed me that he now lived upstairs. The landlord informed me that only two people are on the leasing agreement to this apartment so I do not understand the constant traffic, that total 4/5 people per day and night. A young woman name erica told the landlord that she does not stay there all the time but she is always around, and with her comes 5 of six men sitting in the front of the house, including the neighborhood drug dealers. During the spring, In the shared hallway you could hear someone having intimate relations at two o’clock in the morning. The daughter of melody when she is visiting is constantly smoking outside I’m sure she isn’t 18 yet. Coming home day or night I feel unsafe walking from my car or going in the hallway to my apartment. Four school age children live in the building including my 4 year old and I fear for their safety. I think this situation could easily escalate into a tragedy if left unchecked. I don’t understand how the Village could...
