Recycling, Reducing, and Reusing 1
“Richmond, VA (WTVR) – More people are living in Virginia. According to a new study,
Virginia’s population is outpacing the rest of the nation. Virginia’s population grew by 2.3%
between 2010 and July of 2012. At the same time, the United States’ population grew by
1.7%.More than half of the State’s growth occurred in Northern Virginia, Virginia Beach, and
Richmond. The study, done by demographers at the University of Virginia, also puts the states
current population at 8.2 million.” (http://wtvr.com) when I read these amazing facts, I was
blown away I didn’t know that Virginia has grown and still is growing. I remember when I first
moved to Virginia, at the teenager age, I couldn’t believe that this state was so big and the
scenery was beautiful. In the Richmond, we have a recycling bin that collects metal, plastics, and
paper. This company has a website I would like to put some information: “Since 1985,
Richmond Recycling has been one of the Mid-Atlantic’s premier recycling centers. One of the
reasons for our success is we pay TOP DOLLAR for your scrap metals, batteries, converters,
appliances, and electric motors.”(http://www.rrdi.com) I like the information that they put tell the
people, what services they can provide to the community. The people in the Hopewell
community bin is where I live, we pretty much have a recycling bin in cavalier square. This bin
is located on the side where the old bank is to be. We have the bins separated into plastics, paper,
