I am a Dynamic Learner
Sequence: I definitely use sequence first whenever I go on vacation. I have an itinerary planned out for the whole vacation. I tend to get upset when someone or something makes us fall behind schedule.
Precision: I use this pattern whenever I read a novel. If the novel is based on time period or a specific place. Let’s say I am reading a novel about the Roman Empire. I will have to find out what they wore, ate, religion, their politics and everything under the sun. It is very time consuming.
Technical: I know I avoid this. I am comfortable with tools, but if it is broken I usually trash it. I went to get my four year old a bike. When I got to the store I saw a sign that said it could be assemble for ten dollars. I paid then ten dollars! When we got home she had a bike ready ride, and I had a book ready to read.
Confluence: this really comes out when I am cleaning. I had plans to clear clothes from my closet. I tear everything out of my closet and come across a box of pictures. Clothes forgotten for now, I starting looking at pictures, posting some to my Instagram. Then I go to show my eldest daughters room, to show her a picture. Next thing I know I am cleaning her room.
I know that I sometimes go overboard, with reading, then rereading and getting all the facts on a subject. Especially when I don’t need to know every fact. Since precision is my use first pattern, I am aware that it can be a time consuming issues and I have to find balance. I would like to take a risk once in a while and be surprised by the outcome.
