Fashion! Wonderful is it not? I've known for years that the fashion industry is the place for me. I've
taken Summer Courses at O'more College of Design (OCD) for the past two summers. I've had multiple pieces of mine in the Franklin Art Crawl. I even am in the process of getting pieces in local boutiques.this isn't just a hobby, this is my life. The Fashion industry is where I belong.
Three years ago christmas morning I opened up a present to find a Gift certificate to a Summer Course At O'more College of Design, not only did I go to that course I persuaded my mom to sign me up for another week as well. It's Informative and Fun, The experience is unlike any other camp I've been to. It's a Great learning experience and I cant wait to go again this summer
OCD is actually how I came to get designs of mine in the art crawl. During this summer a representative looking for locations came to OCD and while looking around stumbled upon the little building where my course was being held. She ended up asking if we would like to have our pieces displayed. Of course we said yes!
The art crawl is how I got my toe in the door of some of the local boutiques. It really helps to be able to say that the designer ( yours truly) has been featured in the Franklin art crawl and has just completed courses at OCD. At first they were quite eager to have some of my designs in their stores. Sadly they backtracked a little when they found out I was 14 (at the time now I'm 15).
Well thats the story of how I got started. Summer courses at O'more; Designs in the Franklin art crawl; And negotiations with local boutiques. This isn't just a hobby it's my life. I belong in the fashion industry.
