Introduction In this unit, for this part of my coursework I will research and analyse on direct care and indirect care. I will be researching on job roles on early year provision and GP Practice. For the early year provision I will be looking at nursery nurse, and for GP Practise I will also be looking at a nurse. I would be also finding out what qualification is needed to be a nursery nurse and the techniques to be one. I will be also finding out the indirect and direct jobs in a nursery. I would also be researching and analyse: How they became a nurse, what qualifications did they need, what are their responsibilities and their opinions on their job. I will also be stating the direct jobs of each job roles; I have chosen starting off with Nursery nurse. What is direct and indirect care? The meaning of Indirect Care is workers supporting the direct workers. The people who work in these roles may never have any direct contact with patients/clients but without them the care will suffer badly. Some of the indirect job roles for a Nursery are Cleaners, Administrative staff, Cooks and Secretaries. Nursery Nurse Nursery nurses might work together as a team, in settings such as schools and hospitals or alone with 1 to 2 children at home. They are usually employed in day nurseries, private nurseries, nursery schools or primary schools. Level 3 qualification required at 6th form.
