Fences is a great story based on a family struggle and time during the 1960s. Troy Maxson the main character is angry at life outcome for him and his family. He has so much negativity toward a lot of things. If this story were based on today’s society Troy would not feel the way that he does. He would have a better paying job, he would not think sports and his career was about race, and his respect for people around him would be better. The era for Troy was not for his liking, but he worked hard to make a better life for his family.

Troy has anger issues and is very disrespectful to the people around him. He treats everyone like crap and his behavior is very horrible. His reason is because of the struggle and work he distributed. Troy was a hard working man, but he feel he is working too hard to get where the white man gets at half the work. Troy would take a different outcome of how he treated others if he...
