Trisha Gottschalk Fiction Writing It was the middle of senior year, the most meaningful year for everyone. As the school {text:change-start} year {text:change-end} was progressing everyone was always constantly busy with the decision making process. It was time to decide what college to go to and this decision seemed to be the hardest decision I would ever have to make in my life. This is why I was so glad to have my best friend Lindsey in my life; she was my sole supporter in whatever I did. Lindsey had decided to go to an {text:change} {text:change-start} out {text:change-end} {text:change-start} - {text:change-end} of {text:change-start} - {text:change-end} {text:change} state school in Wisconsin, wh {text:change-start} ile {text:change-end} {text:change} I was leaning more towards going to an instate school. But this didn’t seem to take effect on our friendship at all. As my decision making process continued I looked around me to the things that ha {text:change-start} d {text:change-end} {text:change} meant most to me in life. Coming from a small town {text:change-start} , {text:change-end} I was always really close with my community, not to mention {text:change} related to a good portion of the town. But I was also really involved in everything {text:change} {text:change} from church fundraisers, working for local businesses, my parent’s many non-profit organization events, {text:change} {text:change-start} to {text:change-end} babysitting the younger children of the neighborhood. I had never thought much about life outside of my small town. I think this is why as the month of May rolled around I felt more steered towards a small private college in the nearby city. This left me close to my community and family but at the same time I knew it would distance me from my best friend.
