Two publicly traded companies within the same industry, Citrix and Microsoft, were chosen to be the basis of our assignment. We provided a brief overview of both companies and many issues were covered such as each company’s product and services; the different types of stocks used by both companies; the company’s outstanding bonds; elaboration on each company’s income statements, balance sheet, cash flow and mentioning of the accounting firm that audits there financial statements. Finally, we identified how much cash was generated by operating, financing and investing actives; we identified some of the significant internal events that affected each company’s cash position; we described the change in revenues and net income over the last three years and calculated each company’s solvency, liquidity and profitability.
In this paper, we will include an explanation of the roles of regulatory bodies in the financial market. We will identify which regulatory bodies affect Citrix and Microsoft and how they are impacted. We will identify each company’s investment bankers. We will describe the types of securities issued at the last offering, when the offering occurred, and how much was offered. Furthermore, based on the data gathered and the analyses performed, present our comprehensive analysis of the financial condition of the companies. Finally, we will include the final strengths and weaknesses of each company and any recommendation for improvements.
