In California there are fires all over the place. Right in the middle of this there are two families they each have two kids Hal & Dana Elisabeth and bret. Both their families are always at work and don't have time for their children, Hal & Dana's parent's call every hour to check in on them and make sure their doing their homework. Right now there are a lot of fires going on around them. There is one in Pinch Canyon and there is a family who is on vacation and they steal whatever they can whenever they feel like it. They stumble upon an old womans home and find it on fire they see her carrying items from her house to her car so they tell their daughter to get out and go help her. Their daughter get's out and tells the old lady that she'll help arrange things so that they she will be able to fit more stuff in her car. When the woman goes back in the families daughter steals the jewelry box so she takes off for the car when she get's in her parent's speed off and they all start laughing. Meanwhile 25 miles away He is swimming laps in their pool when he notices something orange he thinks it's a basketball so he keeps swimming then he see's some bikers riding down the hill and he see's that the orange ball is getting bigger before he realizes what it is the bikers have already met their fatal death. He starts imagining the pain they must have felt getting their skin burned right off their faces and their bike handles melting burning their hands on to the handle bars. Then he realizes he must get his sister Dana. When he goes in their and tells her she starts packing some food and other items then she gets a laundry basket and a piece of cardboard she rounds up the kittens and puts them in the laundry basket then tapes the cardboard on top so they don't get out of the basket. Then Hal remembers his neighbor geoffery a four year old whose parents were at wotk but he was with his babysitter so Hal ran over there to tell him whaen he gets inside and tells the sitter...
