The Day That Changed My Life
On cold and sunny February day something happened that would change my life forever. It was like any other Wednesday, I went to school, had a pretty good day. After school I went to Covington to meet some friends for dinner. We ate Chinese food, went to Wal-Mart, and just hung out. It was normal for my friends and I to do this but I would have never thought anything would happen like it did.
After my friends and I parted, I was still taking one of them home. When we arrived at her house we got out and talked for a few minutes and I was getting ready to leave her house; so I do what I normally do and called my grandmother to let her know I was on my way home. Once I got in my car and left I was listing to music and singing like any average person does. I am still in Covington at this point, driving down Alleghany Avenue heading towards Bath County when it happened. When my life was changed.
It all happened so fast I didn’t have enough time to react much. A car came out of a side road and it came out to fast so I swerved and hit the medium and lost control of my car. Once I lost control I tried to get it back but it was too late I had already hit a telephone pole. I hit the pole head on, the air bag came out as I hit my head on the steering wheel, y hand flew back and hit the window as I sit there passed out people stop and call the police. I final come to and can’t get my seat belt undone so somehow I got out of the car and cut it off grab my purse and just drop to my knees and thank God that I was alive. I don’t the first thing that came to my mind, I called my grandmother, I was screaming and crying and telling her what happened. I didn’t know what to do but she was calm and said that she was coming to meet me at the hospital. Once the cops and ambulance get there the cop starts questioning me and then they put me in the ambulance and take me to the hospital....
