Human beings are much different from other species because of their behavioral characteristics. The biopsychosocial dimensions of human behavior is a combination of the biological, psychological, and social factors that explain human behavior. Starting with the biological dimension (Smith, Feb.). Most scientist believe that human behavior is an example of biological genetics and heredity (Smith, Feb.).

Describe the Interactions between the Biopsychosocial Dimensions of Development
Social workers focuses on the important dynamic interaction between the biological, psychological, and social characteristics of human development (Smith, Feb.). These characteristics develops the effect of human growth and maturity. It is also important to understand how the biological dimension causes illness stems from the functioning of an individual’s body. “The psychological component of the biopsychosocial model looks for potential psychological causes for a health problem such as lack of self-control, emotional turmoil, and negative thinking “(Wikipedia, Sept). The social part of the biopsychosocial model investigates how different social factors such as socioeconomic status, culture, poverty, technology, and religion can influence health (Wikipedia, Sept).

Explain the Concept of Human Diversity and Cultural Competence
“Cultural competence refers to an ability to interact effectively with people of different cultures and socio-economic backgrounds, particularly in the context of human resources, non-profit organizations, and government agencies whose employees work with persons from different cultural/ethnic backgrounds” (Wikipedia, Sept) .
