France must be a high contender to be the country with the most strongly influent culture in the world. France is the nation of wine, of cuisine, of fashion, of architecture, and of gentleness. Going to France without visiting Eiffel tower as well as Arc de Triomphe, or at least one time try its champagne and real French food, a visitor must be regretful for missing the most part of the trip. Exploring the French culture, people face big problem in choosing which parts to say and which not, as there are so many interesting subcategories.
The first thing to say about France is usually its food. Many claims that France has the most tasteful cuisine in the world; although someone will not agree with that statement, they cannot help admitting that so many dishes served in France are well cooked, and well decorated, too. The stand-outs in French menu could belong to the cheese’s part. As many as 400 kinds of cheese are recorded (Wikipedia), more than enough to enjoy every day with a different kind for a whole year.
The world’s biggest producer of wine, France, has been making its great wine since the 6th century Before Christ! Usually drunk with food, French wines, undisputedly, increase their taster’s appétit a great deal. Many French fine brands like Champagne, Bordeaux, Burgundy… make their appearances on every party, not only domestically but also world widely. French are dominating in both markets.
French architecture is a giant in its field. Someone admit that he has never heard of Eiffel tower, Arc de Triomphe, or at least of the Statue of Liberty before? So he must be joking, or so ignorant of the world around. Many great building are made by the hands of French architects. Those three great works mentioned above are the models of the creativity and cleverness of French. And many more, still, include the Élysée Palace, the Louvre Museum etc.
Discussing about the culture of France, one will make a big mistake not saying about French Art and Literature....
