French Regions

Paris is one of the most popular attractions for tourists not only from France, but Europe. Many students dream of being able to study in Paris. People wish they could live in Paris. Although Paris is with a number of monuments, museums and activities in other parts of France there are also plenty of things to do. This presentation is a bucket list of things to do in France, with everything in every region of the country. This presentation is also an appreciation of other cultures and activities in other regions of France have to offer, but are often overlooked.

In Alsace, the Route des Vins d'Alsace is famous, as it passes through the vineyards and picturesque villages with lots of flowers. Wine is the purpose of the visit and the way, but the scenic journey is the real entertainment. In Aquitaine, the Place des Quinconces is located in Bordeaux and is one of the largest squares in Europe. Monument aux Girondins is very famous and beautiful with the statue on top of the column and the fountain in the background. Beside the monument there is also a Ferris wheel and popular park. In Auvergne, the Chapelle Saint-Michel Aiguilhe is a chapel on top of a needle of a rock and is reached by 268 stone steps that wind around the rock. The chapel features historic architecture, frescoes, masonry, and sacred objects. In Britain, Brest Castle is a monument located on the river Penfeld and it keeps the city. It is the oldest castle still in use today since it is still used as a military fortress. In Burgundy, the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy is the location of the City Hall and the Museum of Fine Arts in Dijon. The palace has a classic architecture of the seventeenth and especially the eighteenth century and is very well preserved. In the Central Region, Chartres en Lumières is a beautiful festival and show. The lights are placed on the famous facade of Chartres Cathedral and the rest of the entire city with music.
