One day Christina met a guy named Ray that was a little older than her. She knew her mother would never allow it so Christina never told her. At first they were friends meeting up at the skating rink and having fun. Then they were going to the studio. Christina and Ray were both into music and Ray had his own studio. As time went on they began to grow closer. Around Ray, Christina had an opinion that he was eager to hear. Ray kept a smile on her face. This sparked a relationship that was unbreakable.
Being 17 years old one would believe that it would be okay for a girl to have a boyfriend, and that’s what Christina thought. Christina and ray did not want to hide their relationship anymore so Christina told her mother. Her mother said that she was uncomfortable with it but that it was okay. Little did Christina know,her mother, was going to do everything in her power to stop them from being together. It started when Ray wanted to take her out on a date. Christina asked, and was told to wait because she had to think about it. So Christina began to get ready just incase her mother would say yes. Christina told her mother that he would be on his way if she could go. Her mother would wait until he showed up to say, no. Her mother went as far as giving back the Christmas gift that he had given Christina. They put up with it for another half of a year when it began to get worse and Christina barely saw Ray. Her mother was literally saying no every time she asked a question
Previously her sister had just become engaged and was to be throwing her wedding shower at Christina’s house. The night before the party Christina got up enough courage to tell her mother how she felt. Christina said “mom I need to talk to you” her mother replied”...
