Effective Communication
In today’s environment communication in teams play a big role in how well a company succeeds. If a company does not embrace teamwork static’s have shown that it will not be as successful as a company that does promote teamwork. If a company or a team within its company does not have effective communication, the team and the company will not succeed. While understanding how to be an effective communicator may seem an easy step, looking at some of the obstacles that are involved you can see that finding a team that works well together is very important to the end result. Not only to the team but also the organization they represent.
There are several types of effective communication tools that can be effective in making sure a team is successful. One of those types are verbal communication in communicating verbally you are emphasizing your tone by how you are speaking to the team. For example if you disagree on the way the team is going on a project then verbally your tone will be louder then normal and stern in how you come across. To have an effective team every team member must recognize that tone and become the listener, letting that team member address there concerns with out make a conclusion before all the facts are presented. The other type of communication is visual and can be just at strong as verbal by the way you use your body language including facial expressions while speaking you can smile in you pleasure for an idea or use your hand to point too an object this showing the team what you are referring while speaking. This type of communication is very effective in team meeting and helps team members in a company understand the importance of an item in a project.(, n.d., p. 3)
