1) a. Living things are made up of cells- Single-cell organisms have everything they need for themselves to survive. In multi-cell organisms only certain cells with specific functions can only perform their job associated with them. Ex. Brain cells perform a function for the brain not for the blood.
b. Molecular and Cellular organization - Tissue ( a bunch of cells have a common function. Organ ( a group of tissues have a common function. Organ system ( a group of organs make up a system and have a common function. Organism ( the whole living thing). Living things will have to make smaller/ simpler substances into more complicated and complexed ones.
c. Living Things Need Energy- for the growth and maintenance of an organism an organism must take in energy for itself.
d. Response to Environment- Organisms will respond to their environment by changing themselves so they can survive. Overall behavior is a product of complex responses to environment in which an organism lives.
e. Growth- an organism will grow bigger when the number of cells increases within itself. A cell will grow to a specific size and then divide making more cells, which comes from cellular division when new cells are being made.
f. Organisms Reproduce- This happens so a species can survive. Some specifies mate and have sexual reproduction (joining of sex cells) and others are asexual and reproduce by themselves. *This is not important for the organisms survival itself.
g. Adaptation- An organism will have traits that help them survive in their environment. It gives them the advantage over others in their environment and against their predators.
2) A) Biosphere ( all environments on earth that support life), Ecosystem ( all living things in a specific area as well as other non living things), Community ( an entire specific set of living things and non living things in a certain ecosystem), Population ( all individual organisms...
