One of the theme “empowerment” in the story, “The Crucible”, Abigail is authorized with power with which she used as a weapon to empower the girls to behave hysterically and the people in Salem to accuse others for witchcraft. One of my best friends who was very popular in the school which help him to gain friendships from his friends that empower other students to bully others and also harmed himself in the end.
The year before me coming to Canada, I was studying in grade seven; by the time, students were regulated to live in the campus for a year. Therefore, Nick had met a lot of friends during that time and became the most famous person in our grade. Since we had the life in the school, we had firm friendships between each other. Friends were truly nice to each other, took care of each other and loyal to each other. However, there was one of the students who did not like to social with others. He had a bad reputation in our class and did not have much friends would like to play with him because of his arrogant. He was the smartest student among us, but he always showed off his talent and strong academics which made everybody hated him so much.
One day, we had the Chinese History exam result come out and the unpopular student had gotten the highest mark in the class. He started to tell everybody that he was the only person who got one hundred on the exam. Then he slowly walked towards Nick and showed off his “master piece”. Suddenly, Nick was so angry and he told his friends to start to bully him. We gathered around to discuss how to make him feel depressed. Nick’s friends were willing to help him and told him to set up some tricks on him. Under the strong peer pressure from his friends, nobody came out to stop the bully. Then they can follow his plan to make that arrogant student feel unhappy with his school life.
