Group “A” Scenario Synopsis
In this assignment team “A” is given a set of scenarios that are to be analyzed based on questions pertaining to each scenario and how they can relate in the state of a tort. A tort is a negligent or intentional civil wrong not arising out of a contract or statute. These include "intentional torts" such as battery or defamation, and torts for negligence. (The Lectric Law Library, 2010) Each scenario is different but is defined based on the United States law and how the scenarios pertain to being argued and represented as tort in the court of law.

Scenario 1
In this scenario, one tort that is present is intentional torts against a person called assault and battery. Malik shows his displeasure with a call made by the referee and spills beer onto Rueben, and Rueben’s father Daniel shows his anger by shoving Malik. Malik falls and grabs the railing which gives way to his weight, and his face hits the aisle steps knocking out his two front teeth. This is an assault due to Daniel shoving Malik and Malik’s two fronts coming out. There is also a case of assault for Malik who points a gun at Daniel. There is also a defamation of character tort in this scenario, due to a lady accusing Daniel of giving alcohol to a child. She is yelling at Daniel and causing a scene to where other individuals there are giving Daniel judgmental looks and he is then fired by his boss. This lady has made an untrue statement about Daniel and due to that statement in public, his boss terminated him. The concession stand worker was negligent in giving Daniel two regular soft drinks instead of two diet soft drinks. Negligence is an unintentional tort where an individual is responsible for harm that is the foreseeable consequence of his or her actions (Cheeseman, 2010). The...
