Having the Government control where his/her firearm goes or when you can take it out is against our freedom. Men and women figure this act out a long time ago and knew that it would be in their best interest to establish a law on it this law was referred to the 2nd amendment. When the second amendment was passed it gave individuals the ability to legally own a firearm. This law also allowed the government to allow residents that ability to register their guns and if a crime was committed they would be able to track it back to the last known owner. All good standing Americans should have the right to bear arms it is a Second Amendment Right, provides security and safety for an owner’s family, and it provides families the opportunity to spend time together participating the sport hunting.
The United States adopted the Second Amendment that gives Americans the right to bear arms on December 15, 1791. The 2nd amendment was adopted and this provided the ability for Americans to possess and own a firearm. The amendment gave the ability to Americans to buy and own firearms that were not involved in the military. This era established a since of safety throughout all the Americans. Owners of stores and bars soon now had the ability to keep a firearm in the establishment. This also caused for people to think less to go in there and rob he place.
The ability to bear arms allows for the security and safety of an owners family. With the crime rate increasing right before the bill was passed the law needed to take action and when the law was passed crime started a drastic decrease. (Miller, Darrell A.H 2009) There have been 2575 lives saved per one life that has been taken by a firearm (Vernick, J. S., Rutkow, L., Webster, D. W., & Teret, S. P. (2011).) this shows that we have been protecting our families with the right that we have with the 2nd amendment.
