Introduction
Information management systems have become a vital part of today’s world. The interoperability of machines and people has allowed more jobs to be completed using less mechanical effort. Even something such as typing a paper has allowed people to complete projects faster than they could have if everything was mechanical. The advantage of using machines became apparent as inventions such as computers have revolutionized the way work is completed. The internet made the computer more relevant as information become readily available.
The information that is contained within a server or a computer is a vital part in keeping the internet alive. This information is transported to another person’s computer whenever they call up an internet protocol address or IP address. The beauty of such systems is that they allow quick exchange of information. While obtaining information is key to the internet, the ability to obtain information can also have a negative association when it comes to sensitive information. Any sensitive information can be obtained to an unaware user. This is where having the proper use of security can prevent a user from hackers and from viruses.
Security has become one of the most crucial topics in today’s internet world. The government has built data centers just for intercepting data. While the government of the United States has the most hackers in the world, there are other threats for the average person which makes security on the grand scale of utmost importance.
