Halloween

A holiday is a special day recognized by a group of people, which holds a special meaning for each. In the past a holiday was established to recognize a holy person or saint. Halloween is a national holiday and is the focus of my paper. Halloween is thought about in different ways and most people get confused about the concept of Halloween. This process paper will tell of my travel throughout the research of the topic, Halloween. While researching this topic I learned a lot about Halloween and I learned what people have forgotten or never knew about Halloween. This process paper documents the steps of how I research the meaning Halloween.
I chose this topic because of common misunderstandings of Halloween and I want clarify some of the misunderstandings and misconceptions. Additionally this is an interesting day and a confusing day and wanted to learn more about my favorite holiday. Also there are so many diverse answers to Halloween questions and superstations that I would like to figure out. Then I started the beginning of my project with a complete blank about what to do. My journey began with a search on the internet but the results were too vast and broad, I had to narrow my search to make it more manageable.
My next step was to ask my mother about where I should look or if she knew anything about this specific topic, she told me some good tips and asked me some questions that helped me get an idea of what to research. I also looked on some encyclopedia websites recommended by Mr. White (I would have never thought to look there, great help). Later on in the process I interview a woman named Roberta. I chose her because I thought she would know a bit about Halloween because she is into the whole renaissance times and the times before the renaissance (renaissance started in the 1300’s). The interview gave me some great information that told me a lot about what people think of Halloween.
