HAPPY COUNTRY The answers to the "happiness” of a country are no different now than they were 2000 years ago. The first issue to gain control of and quite honestly the only thing one on his own platform can gain control over is an individual’s own happiness Therefore the most important job for the government of India to do right now is to invest in the happiness of India’s citizens as HAPPY PEOPLE CAN LEAD TO A HAPPY SOCIETY AND A HAPPY SOCIETY CAN EVENTUALLY LEAD TO A HAPPY COUNTRY. The second hurdle that needs to be overcome is that of domestic issues or the issues related to poverty, deterioration of health, inequality, gender discrimination, rigid caste system rules, corruption, bureaucracy etc. By finding solutions of such issues only can India progress in other fields that would lead to the birth of a new developing nation in this world. Our instinct should in the twenty first century is to focus excessively on ways to raise the level or bar of happiness in the Poverty is the foremost challenge, which is being faced by the govt. in order to make India a happy country. In order to eradicate poverty from the word dictionary of India the govt. has to take up the following steps :
First of all the goal of poverty reduction should be a stable, loyal and productive society. From the year 1993, every 17th of October is celebrated as INTERNATIONAL POVERTY ERADICATION DAY. The theme for the year 2008 was Working together out of poverty, with the help of which the govt should have taken up the initiative of launching diff schemes in order to reduce the no. of slums on the outskirts of numerous cities.
