Emergency Sub Plans

7:55 Pick up students/Greet at door.

Collect any necessary notes, homework. Students take chairs down. Ensure students will have a productive day. Reinforce school/classroom rules.

8:00-8:20 Opening-Daily Oral Language/Daily Oral Math-Purple book in students desk. Do one each for the day.

Recite the pledge of allegiance. Take attendance. Must be in before 10:00a.m.

8:20-9:20 Reading- Open Court-Green/Red section-see pacing guide to see what unit and lesson we are on. Teacher manual is on table with radio in front of my desk.

9:20-9:50 Workshop-SRA-students have a sra folder in their desk and they can pick their next story card in the sra box under the window. They can complete any unfinished work.

9:50-10:05 Recess. Walk students out to the playground. You must supervise the students the entire recess time. Make sure they freeze when the bell rings and blow the whistle to have them walk quietly to line. Recess duty schedule is posted by my phone in bright pink.

10:05-10:35 Math Facts-Have students practice their multiplication/division math facts in workbook. Review how to multiply/divide double digits.

10:35-11:35 Math-See attached pacing guide for math chapter lessons and page exercises. Textbooks are on the shelf. Workbooks are in student desks. Students will have previous lesson done in their MAP2D notebooks.

11:40-12:20 Lunch- Walk students to the cafeteria. Pick up students outside.

12:20-12:50 Science-M/T-read and answer questions in next chapter lesson in student workbooks.
Social Studies-W/Th-read next chapter lesson in textbooks on the shelf, complete workbook page in students desk.

12:50-1:20 ELD- use corresponding open court unit lesson for eld lesson-see white packet with teacher manuals.

1:20-1:50 Writing – M-Th(Students may write in their WFTB notebooks about a topic idea brainstormed.
