Abstract
This paper covers the grave problem of homeliness in the City of Baltimore. This problem affects many people in various sub-cultures and is taking a considerable social and economic toll on the community. Several studies have been completed nationally and locally to understand its impact; while organizations others hope to end homeliness all together. The victims of homeliness are domestic violence, mental illness, members of the LGBT community and others that have caused them to become homeless. This paper covers the grave problem of homeliness in the City of Baltimore. Homelessness is a condition that affects almost 3,000 people in the City of Baltimore. Baggett et al. (2010) “estimated 2.3 to 3.5 million Americans experience homelessness each year”. Homeless can lead to health chronic and acute health problems which can rob individuals of their dignity.
